Could you have Alpha-1 deficiency?
Answer these questions to find out.

About Test Today Change Tomorrow

Alpha-1 antitryptsin deficiency, also known as Alpha-1 or AATD, is a genetic condition that causes chronic breathing problems. It affects nearly 100,000 people in the United States, but only 5% of those with the disorder have been diagnosed.1  Left untreated, Alpha-1 deficiency can cause permanent damage to the lungs.2 So early diagnosis and treatment are important to helping those with Alpha-1 live the best life possible.

To increase awareness of Alpha-1 deficiency and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment, CSL Behring is launching a national program called Test Today. Change Tomorrow. CSL Behring is a global leader in the plasma protein biotherapy industry, dedicated to treating rare and serious diseases and passionate about improving the quality of life of our patients.

Test Today. Change Tomorrow. will foster and provide national education and support for early detection and treatment of Alpha-1 deficiency. This initiative features programs and support services for both Patients & Caregivers and healthcare professionals, including:

  • Today's Health, a national broadcast television program about Alpha-1, featuring interviews with patients and leading researchers. Learn more about Today's Health. (link to program air dates)
  • Toll-free information center for patients and healthcare professionals seeking to learn more about Alpha-1 testing and treatment
  • Educational programs and materials
  • Resources and grants to support Alpha-1 testing in healthcare settings and communities
