If you or someone you know suffers from chronic breathing problems, it could be caused by a genetic condition known as Alpha-1 deficiency (sometimes called Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency or AATD). While Alpha-1 deficiency is estimated to affect as many as 100,000 people across the US, as little as 5% of those with the disorder have been diagnosed.1 If undetected 75-85% of patients with severe Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency will develop emphysema.2

To increase awareness of Alpha-1 deficiency and the importance of early detection and treatment, CSL Behring is launching a national education and support program called Test Today. Change Tomorrow.
